Core Art Journalling

Deborah Porter has found her magic creative tool and wants to share her secrets.

Her business Core Art Journaling facilitates a safe space for anyone looking for a creative wellbeing experience to help with stress, anxiety or self-exploration. Core Art Journaling workshops are perfect for anyone wanting to reconnect and explore creativity and help to inspire positive changes.

“What I do is create events that provide people with what I desperately needed.

For so many decades in my life I struggled to articulate and connect to my feelings, my life had no emotional growth. When I discovered art journaling I know I had found a place to join up those emotional dots and help me break free.”

“The joy of Core Art journaling is that it has the ability to help heal, connect, open, change and retreat. Your journals become precious and my mission lives deep in my heart. I understood my art journaling  was not therapy but it can complement and enhance any formal therapeutic arrangements.

I am so happy to be part of Winchester Fashion Week 2021 and to work with the Winchester Community, before moving to London I studied at Winchester School of Art and have now been part of the Winchester Community for over 30 years.

These unique workshops designed for Winchester Fashion Week has been written to allow us to enjoy fashion, design and textiles but also to celebrate and accept that a lot of people battle with body issues. These workshops will be exploring changing and making your own narrative through collage and mixed media a chance to tear apart, repair and retell your stories visually.

There are no rules and we are not painting pretty pictures just enjoying the process as we get to show visually and honestly our emotions. Everyone is welcome there is no judgement and no artist skills are required, just play!
